Vacation Rental Advertising Tips

What can you do with your second home to generate extra income? Turn it into a vacation rental. Many people rent out their secondary, tertiary, etc. properties as vacation rentals, and depending on where your property is located, you may end up with more demand for your rental than you expected. Of course, this all depends on the effectiveness of your advertising.

Creating an effective ad for your vacation rental begins with making sure that all of your paperwork and legal details are in order. Take the time to become familiar with the short term rental laws of your city, state, and your HOA and take the time to fill out and mail any required paperwork, and to obtain an insurance policy for your vacation rental. Then, you are ready to move forward in the creation of your ad.

Your ad needs, first and foremost, a clear headline, a property description, and a location description. Some vacation rentals are short term, while some have tenancy terms for a period of months, or a season (i.e. summer) and this needs to be specified as well. Include several photos of your property, and dont forget the most important part”the rental price.

One way to increase the number of people who find your ad via the search engines is to add keywords at the bottom. These should be focused on the specifics of what you are offering, i.e. vacation rental (your area) and should be separated by commas. You should plan on posting your ad on several different sites to increase exposure and to help you reach different demographics. Certain sites may offer features and options that others dont.

Your vacation rental property has the potential to become a significant source of additional revenue, but dont be discouraged if you dont see a lot of response immediately. You should consider including unique features, such as video tours, if you can, and keywords, and tailoring your ad to appeal toward a specific demographic, and above all, remember that the best ads are often created through a process of trial and error.

Towbars - What To Think About When Buying One

As a family, we love to drive off and go camping for weekends, or weeks at a time. We mostly keep it really simple, a tent, sleeping bags and a car full of provisions. Last year though, for a change, we decided to rent a caravan and do it that way. Not having a towbar on the jeep, I clearly needed to get one installed.

So I made my way down to All Vehicle Accessories (AVA) in Thomastown to get a cheap towbar installed. The cheaper it was the better it was as far as I was concerned. After all, we were about to go on holiday and I wanted to use my spending money there. Luckily for me, the guys at AVA were professional enough to talk me out of using price as a means of discriminating when choosing a towbar.

To begin with, they got me thinking about the types of things I wanted to tow. Obviously there was the caravan for the upcoming trip. Following on from that though, I’d probably buy some bike beaks too as my wife loves triathlons. We could take the bikes up to the Dandenongs for a ride.

Having compiled my list, we discussed the cost of the items we were going to tow. Our bikes (two of them) are worth about $6,000 all up. Mine isn’t all that valuable, but my wife, boy she spent a mint on hers. Such is her love for the triathlon.

I ended up Googling caravan sales to get a feel for how much they are to buy. I didn’t realise they were so expensive. I couldn’t find anything for less than $5000 and I found quite a few which cost more than $100,000. You can buy property for that much… The one we rented was mid range, costing around $50,000 new. Its quite a “load” on the towbar when you think about it in those terms.

I was convinced. I had to change my attitude toward this towbar. If I was going to pay the money regardless, I may as well have it done properly. Instead of finding a cheap towbar, I realised I needed to find a quality towbar. Paying the few extra dollars didn’t matter anymore, when taken in perspective with the items being towed.

The AVA professionals pointed out to me that the Hayman Reese towbars are the only brand in Australia which carries a lifetime guarantee. This I thought was pretty telling, especially as quality was now the issue. I was almost sold. These particular towbars though had two additional features which absolutely convinced me.

Firstly, they have an accessory called a Weight Distribution Hitch. This important piece of equipment, when fitted properly, reduces the ball weight and therefore, the drag on the vehicle. If you are looking to save money on your towbar, think about this. Paying the extra dollars for this towbar and accessory will actually pay you back many times over down the track. Reducing the drag improves your fuel efficiency. That means that when you are towing, you use less fuel and save money at the bowser. This is an on-going saving, not the once off I was considering by going cheap with the towbar.

The other thing they sell is an accessory called Sway Control. This one I definitely wanted as it makes towing so much safer. Given that my family are going to be in the vehicle with me as we drive on our holiday, safety really is my first priority. Sway control is simply the add on that stops the caravan from swerving all over the road, every time a truck drives past the other way. A very nifty accessory which makes for a much safer trip.

This experience was a rare one for me. Usually when told I am wrong its like a red rag to a bull. The guys at AVA explained to me the importance of a quality towbar though, in a such a professional way that I didn’t feel in the least bit miffed. At the end of the day, they are the experts and they were just helping me protect my family.

Easy Means of Traveling to Asia

Traveling around Asia for more than 10 years and living in Indonesia for almost 7 years now. I often have been in situations where I was looking for a cheap airfare. From my first experiences I had the feeling it was quite different to deal with domestic or international flight. For sample, in most countries when you purchase domestic flight ticket you won’t get any differences price between two “one way” tickets OR one “return” ticket. Except of course a slightly discount for the return ticket.

Now, when is coming to international air travel it is harder to find Cheap Asia Travel tickets. Sometimes, you can even get cheaper return ticket. So if you plan to travel in many different cities (round trip with many transit stop) it can be hard to find good deals. However the following advice should helps you find the Asia Cheapest Flight available online.

I separate this article in two parts, international and domestic flight. First, lets talk about international flight. There is a lot of good web site around there, but you will need to do a lot of searches before you find what you really want. I suggest you to start by looking for the available airplane companies which deserve the concerned country you are flying to or from.

For sample, if you are in Indonesia and want to flight to Australia, you will most likely have to choose between Garuda and Quantas. There are possibilities to use other flights companies such as Malaysia Airlines or Singapore Airlines. But you will loose a lot of time during your trip as you will have to transit to this cities.

When you miss some information when you deal online, it is not easy to get your way around Beijing when you are downright Philadelphian! There is just some tick-offs in travelling long distance.

About domestic flight, I experienced two totally different experiences in Indonesia and Australia. In Indonesia, if you want to buy a domestic flight ticket you will have plenty of choices. Indonesia is a vast Archipelago of tropical and Virgin Islands constitute of more than twelve’s thousand islands. More than three thousands of these Islands are inhabited and I believe that more than hundreds of them get an airport. So, you can imagine the number of possibilities and market available in Indonesia. The main company airlines in Indonesia are Garuda (also provide international flight), Merpati, Mandala, Lion Air, Adam Air, Star Air, Batavia, etc..

Singapore’s Changi Airport could be considered a hub for many of the major air carriers, much like Atlanta in the United States. Low Cost Carriers and Cheap International Flights to Asia: There are many low cost, no frills airlines around the world. However, they mostly operate in a given region and rarely travel between continents.

After you had eliminated the worst flight company from your newspaper research, you can start compare price between few of the companies. Just go to Google, type the company name and you should find their web site in manner of seconds. If you looking for ticket long in advance (let’s say more than three weeks), you will find that most of ticket have similar quotes with the international and most reputed national company…..Garuda Indonesia. And that’s the problem in Indonesia if you want to order domestic flight more than three weeks in advance…No cheap airfare ticket available. You will have to wait the “perfect” time to order your ticket (between three weeks and two weeks in advance…. be careful after that it could be too late) and you should be able to get 20% to 70% discount.

Turkish Airlines flight from Chicago to Pakistan via Istanbul lets you see Istanbul for free because of your earned frequent flyer miles. Since it is partners with American Airlines, you can just transfer your miles to your American Airlines Advantage account in case you will not be visiting Asia soon again.

However, travel between south eastern Asian countries such as Singapore and Vietnam can be accomplished relying mainly on the low cost air carriers. There are also a handful of domestic airlines operating in Asian countries. For example, if India is on your travel itinerary, you should note that there are half a dozen low cost airlines competing in India, so you may get a good deal on domestic flights on the subcontinent.

Good Cancun Vacation Deals You Can Check Out

Cancun, Mexico is located on the Yucatan peninsula, and is known as the Mexican Caribbean, with its white beaches and bright blue water. Apart from being a popular vacation destination, it is also home to over 500,000 citizens. As a vacationer, therefore, you have plenty of places to choose from - whether as near the beaches as possible, or deeper in the city to get the feel of the “real” Cancun. It all depends on why you’re going there!

Because of its popularity, accommodations near the touristy hotspots can be quite expensive. What you get in being “right there” at the center of things, without having to waste time taking buses, taxis or limos to your destinations, you pay for.

On the other hand, if you’re willing to expand your horizons a little, and look at hotels or locations closer to the actual city, you can find some inexpensive deals, but of course, then you have to pay more to get where you want to go by taxi or bus, and there’s the time factor involved there as well.

That’s why research is so important, and the easiest way to do research these days is to scope out Cancun on the Internet. You’ll want to conduct a two-pronged approach to your research. First, you’ll want to find out about the city itself, from such sites as Wikipedia or even their own official website.

Whether you’re single, a couple, or a family, there are all sorts of activities for you to do in Cancun, but you’ll want to know about them before you arrive.

Once you decide where you want to go and how long you can stay, then you have to start doing the research on the least expensive lodgings…or if expense really isn’t an issue, you still want to get the best value for the money that you are paying.

To that end, there are websites such as Orbitz and Priceline that allow you to compare prices for hotels, airplane tickets, and so on. Before booking into the cheapest hotel - check out their websites, to make sure you know exactly what you’re getting.

Vacation and tour packages are also a viable option. It’s always more fun to go places with a group of people whom you know, or who share similar interests. Consult a professional travel agent to see what they can offer you, to ensure that you get the best Cancun or Mexico Golf vacations deal possible.

Renting Big Bear Cabins Near Big Bear Lake

When people in other states think of California, they invariably think of Hollywood, or San Francisco. But don’t forget that California is known as the Golden State, not because of the gold in the Hollywood Hills, but because of the real gold found in the mountains…of which California has aplenty.

There are eighteen national forests in California, one of which is the San Bernardino - through which runs the San Bernardino Mountains. And within this national forest is Big Bear Lake - a year-round resort community.

In order to stay at this resort community, one need not stay in a dreary old hotel, but rather in one of dozens upon dozens of cabins of various sizes - from small cabins for the single traveller, to those that have nine rooms, for family parties.

These cabins are available year round - Big Bear Lake is especially popular in winter…it’s so much easier to drive down to southern California than to fly up to Colorado or Utah. The snow is man-made, but it’s well-kept.

In order to find the best cabin for you - whether you want to go skiing in winter, or hiking, rock climbing or mountain biking in spring, summer or fall, there are a variety of websites that will help you. Big Bear Lake is the official website of the area, and offers a travel planner, blogs, videos of the area, and a free vacation guide, as well as a listing of all the companies that offer cabins and luxury homes for rent.

Another official website also offers the same kind of information. They also have live webcams, so you can see the skiers on the mountain slopes, but no blog offerings. (As an aside, this particular site is in frames, which I find very limiting.)

Find sites that contains all the information you need to know on shopping, dining, lodging, history of the area and so on. They should also offer webcams, but no blogs! It’s not in frames, so I like it. The information is easy to find and more important, easy to read.

Tips on Buying Luggage

Modern time has led people to constantly travel whether for Business, Trip, or simply a Personal Visit and this gave rise to the demand in comfort in travel. We want to have our clothes, shoes, and some personal belongings along with us but a new dilemma has come along with it; Travel means you have to go light for some air travel related concerns and of course, for the simple reason that you don’t want to carry all these stuff with you and cause the very thing you avoided; discomfort.

Good news is that, as though these cries have been heard, men have found yet another simple but brilliant way in conquering these problems and this paved way to the birth of the Luggage. Not just your ordinary luggage, modern designs now emphasizes more on portability, ease of use, style, and size. So before purchasing Luggage, it is wise to review and compare features to suit your travelling needs.

First and often the most considered factor by every traveler is the Weight of the luggage. Look for a bag that takes advantage of the new, hi-tech materials which are strong but lightweight. Material is also a priority because it will give the traveler the idea of how strong their bag is and will it able to hold on for a long time. Buy a bag made of almost any type of material, but nylon is optimal for weight, strength, durability and style. Look for material with a tight, dense weave, and seams with solid stitching. Carrying a suitcase is a hard labor and so Wheels are very important for a traveler because it cancels most weight and drag in traveling. Most bags today have wheels. Look for wheels that are at least 2.5 inches (6cm) in diameter for smoother rolling along surfaces from moving sidewalks to cobblestone to pavement.

If a luggage has wheels, it should have a handle for pulling it comfortably. When you visit a store, it is advisable you perform a series of test drives to make sure you can pull it comfortably without it hitting your heels as you walk. The handle should lock into place both in the extended position for ease of use, and in the retracted position to prevent damage to the handle if the bag is checked. Also, don’t go for metal zippers, the new synthetic zippers are just as strong and lighter in weight and make sure the zipper pulls can be secured with a lock, so that bags contents stay secured.

There are countless Features that come along with the purchase of the luggage; extra zippered pockets, a key ring holder, organizer panels and compression straps. Remember to look for additional features that will make the bag not only more functional, but easier and more convenient to use.

Sightseeing In Majorca

Majorca, called Mallorca in Spanish is the main Balearic Island and a perfect spot for beach enthusiasts with its baking beaches and more than five hundred kilometers of coastline.

The island has beautiful landscapes, mountains, and wonderful Mediterranean food. It receives around ten million tourists a year, and as a result has wonderfully developed infrastructure to aid the tourists so that the tourism economy keeps growing. The island is definitely not all about the beaches and you can explore its lush landscapes as well. The further you are from the coast, the cheaper it is, so that is definitely a good reason to go towards the centre of the island.

The Palma de Mallorca is the island’s capital and is definitely worth a visit. In its old city you will be able to see many architectural wonders, the amazing culture, and Mediterranean food. There is a famous cathedral which is worth visiting along with the city center which is nice to walk around. Serra de Tramuntana are the great mountains that are found along the north-west coast and can be visited for short hikes and picturesque views.

Fredric Chopin spent some time in the village of Valldemossa. If you are in the mountains you should visit Soller and Port de Soller which is a beautiful town as well. You can also rent bicycles and cycle around the island. You may even spot some professional teams training here.

Playa de Palma is the most popular tourist spot on the island, and you can also go to the Dragon Caves which are an extremely trendy sightseeing place. When in Palma, search for calm beaches. The five kilometer stretch is dreadfully packed and you may not like it as much. The greatest one is on the blue bus line at Western terminus, and is called Playa. It has a large cove and even a restaurant on the beach.

On the other hand, if you are in Mallorca, the central place to go is the south and east coasts but be prepared for places to be incredibly full in the tourist season. You can come across quiet beaches, but realize now that you will have to walk further and will not have easy access to restaurants and cafes there. The most gorgeous beach is Es Trenc next to the Colonia de Sant Jordi, but you can certainly walk around the island to look for much better beaches.

S’Abulfera has a salt marsh. This is next to the town of Alcudia. Here, you can glimpse a large number of bird species and benefit from nature at its very greatest. You can see heron, ducks, and warblers here. The cliffs of Fortmentor are a wonderful place to go bird watching, and you might even be able to see an Elenora’s Falcon, which is a very unusual bird to find.

If you are visiting for the summers, walk to the Bendinat Golf Course on Saturday evening to have fun at an on the house classical concert. If you enjoy rock climbing, you should tour Deep Water Psicobloc which is one of the greatest spots for rock climbing over deep water.
