If you think it’s hard to get a conventional loan try finding an unsecured small business loan. Our family has an idea for a small business, but we are not wealthy people. Consequently, we have to find our money elsewhere to open our business. But we are finding out is unsecured small business loans are very difficult to find in this economy. It seems lenders have become stricter in loaning money these days. We have found a few lenders going to work with us, but the interest rate they are charging makes it cost prohibitive to secure the loan. The SBA has programs available for people like us, but the red tape involved is incredible. It is sort of a Catch-22 situation. We have an idea, we believe it’s a great idea, yet we cannot find money to fund our project. It is very frustrating.
